Every certification our own mill in Fuzhou holds, who verifies it, and exactly how to check it yourself. Proof you can audit, not logos you have to trust.
OHZEHN-TEX is manufactured at our own mill in Fuzhou, which holds OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I and Higg FEM verification, 2025 cycle, and runs an in-house testing lab. The OHZEHN-TEX ingredient's own OEKO-TEX and GRS certifications are in progress; independent third-party verification of the fabric composition is available now through a Miami accredited testing lab.
What certifications does Ohzehn hold?
The ones that a $20M to $500M brand actually gets audited against, each with a verifiable number we hand over before any commercial commitment. The point of this page is not the badges. It is that you can check every one of them yourself, in the issuer's own database, without taking our word for anything.
The reason this matters is simple. A large share of factories that claim a certification cannot produce the certificate number, or the number belongs to a mill they buy from rather than to their own operation. The gap between a logo on a website and a scope certificate in your name is where most sourcing disasters live. Here is what the mill holds, who issues it, and what it protects on your side.

What compliance bar does the Fuzhou mill meet?
Our own mill in Fuzhou was built to serve the compliance, quality-control, and testing bars set by major US and European retail buyers over the past decade, under the prior factory operations run by co-founder JJ Chen's family. Ohzehn is a new operator on top of that infrastructure, not the historical account owner. What we inherit is the QC infrastructure, the certification stack, and the in-house lab, not a client roster. Our in-house testing lab runs to the compliance bar those retail buyers hold a supplier to.
That is the real reason a scaling brand cares about this. It is not borrowed prestige. It is that infrastructure already built to clear a major retailer's compliance program has the systems in place, and a track record of passing the audits, that a $20M to $500M brand needs the moment it lands a wholesale account or a marketplace review of its own.
How can I verify these certifications myself?
Ask for the certificate number and check it in the issuer's own database, not on the factory's website. This is the single most useful thing a founder can do in sourcing, and it takes minutes:
- OEKO-TEX: search the certificate number on the OEKO-TEX Label Check. The record shows the holder, the class, and the valid-through date.
- Higg FEM: verification is tracked through Worldly's facility records for the cycle year claimed.
If a supplier will not give you a number to check, treat that as the answer. We hand ours over before you commit to anything, because a credential you cannot verify is marketing, not proof.
What regulations and chemistry standards do you meet?
Production complies with REACH and its SVHC candidate list, POP regulations, and GB 18401, and it is PFAS-free by design. PFAS-free by design is the important phrase. It is a formulation decision made at the chemistry stage, not a fluorine-free coating swapped in at the last minute, so it holds across the finished garment instead of degrading in the wash. That posture puts a program ahead of the UK, EU, and Australian microplastic and forever-chemical rules that are landing now rather than scrambling to retrofit after they land.
What lab methods do you test to in-house?
AATCC, ISO, and GB methods, run under the same roof as production instead of shipped out and waited on. Methods on file include:
- AATCC 135 for dimensional stability (the shrinkage math that sinks a repeat customer)
- AATCC 61, 8, 15, 81, 106, and 107 for colorfastness and pH
- ASTM D4964 for stretch and recovery
- ASTM D3786 for bursting strength
Testing in the same building as knitting, dyeing, and sewing is not a convenience. It means a failed result gets caught and corrected inside the run, before the goods ship, rather than becoming a return rate you discover three months later.
How do the certifications apply to the plastic-free OHZEHN-TEX™ ingredient?
Partially, and we say so plainly. OHZEHN-TEX™ is a bio-based nylon fabric platform built on castor-oil polyamide and corn-derived stretch, part of the plastic-free fabric platform, and it runs through the same in-house testing lab and PFAS-free chemistry discipline as every conventional line. What it does not yet carry is its own OEKO-TEX and GRS registrations, specific to its bio-based composition, which are in progress and not yet issued.
