Manifesto
Fabric is not neutral. It sits against your largest organfor sixteen hours a day.We rebuilt itfrom the molecule up.
The problem

The hidden chemical load of modern textiles.

Most fabric worn against the body is petroleum-derived synthetic finished with undisclosed chemistry. Activewear, swimwear, intimates, casualwear, bedding. All of it. Worn against the body's largest absorptive organ for 16 to 24 hours a day, including the eight you spend asleep, this creates chronic, cumulative exposure that no industry standard requires brands to disclose.

The reality

Textiles touch the skin more than any other material in your environment. Sixteen to twenty-four hours a day, including sleep. Fabric is not neutral. It is part of your biological environment.

  • BPA

Detected in polyester and nylon. Endocrine disruptor.

  • PFAS

Used for water and stain resistance. Persists indefinitely.

  • Phthalates

Plasticizers in flexible synthetics. Linked to hormonal disruption.

  • Nanosilver

Antimicrobial finish. Potential immune and microbial impact.

  • Fragrance

    Proprietary scent compounds. Undisclosed allergens.

  • Formaldehyde

    Wrinkle-resistant finishes. Known irritant.

Fabric architecture

Engineered from biology. Not fossil fuels.

OHZEHN-TEX™ is built from a 76/24 architecture of plant-derived performance polymers. Two fibers. One philosophy. 99.5% renewable feedstock from castor oil, corn-derived polymers, and agricultural inputs.

76%
Bio-based performance nylon

Engineered polyamide from straw, corn, and castor oil. High tensile strength, long-term recovery, and durability that exceeds conventional petroleum nylon.

24%
Bio-based stretch architecture

Plant-derived elastic polymer. Premium elasticity and rebound without elastane, compression bands, or petrochemical inputs.

  • Castor oil Drought-tolerant non-food crop
  • Corn-derived polymers Annually renewable feedstock
  • Agricultural inputs Straw, residue, plant biomass

Performance

Elite numbers. Plant-based fibers.

Performance is engineered at the molecular and knit-architecture level. Not added through post-production chemical treatments. The result: elite-tier stretch and recovery from entirely plant-derived inputs.

  1. 4-way

    Stretch

Horizontal and vertical elasticity. Unrestricted in every direction.

  2. 95%

    Rebound recovery

Superior shape retention across thousands of stretch cycles.

  3. 0

    Compression bands

Anatomical knit. No digging. No failure points.

  4. 0

    Visible panty line

Seamless construction. Smart knit. Zero show-through.

By design

What we deliberately exclude.

Performance is built into the knit, not added through chemistry. We engineer function at the structural level so the harmful surface finishes used by the rest of the industry simply aren't required.

Independent verification

Verified transparency. Not marketing claims.

Every production batch undergoes independent third-party testing at U.S. accredited laboratories. We verify what is not in our fabric, with disclosed detection limits, because absence of harm matters as much as presence of performance.

Honest comparison

Why natural fibers fall short.

Cotton, bamboo, and merino are widely marketed as natural alternatives. In a performance textile context, each has structural limitations. Performance still depends on synthetic blending. The real question is which synthetic, and from what feedstock.

  1. Cotton

    Natural, limited performance
    • Lacks elastic recovery. Stretches without bouncing back.
    • Retains moisture. Stays wet under exertion.
    • Low tensile strength. Pills and tears under abrasion.
    • Still blended with 10 to 20% synthetic elastane to stretch.
  2. Bamboo

    Marketed natural, processed rayon
    • Most bamboo apparel is chemically processed viscose rayon.
    • Production uses carbon disulfide and other toxic solvents.
    • Low tensile durability, especially when wet.
    • Still blended with spandex for stretch.
  3. Merino

    Premium natural, structural limits
    • Limited natural elasticity. Requires synthetic blending.
    • Wool fibers weaken under friction.
    • Premium price, shorter functional lifespan.
    • Most performance merino is 70 to 85% wool blended with nylon or elastane.

Sustainability

Built into the molecular architecture.

Sustainability is not a marketing add-on. It is the structural outcome of starting with renewable feedstock and engineering for longevity. Impact decreases across every stage of the lifecycle.

  1. Renewable feedstock

Annually renewable crops. Not finite fossil reserves. Lower carbon intensity from input to output.

  2. Lower carbon intensity

Plant-based polymers sequester carbon during the growth phase. Water-conscious manufacturing.

  3. Durability is sustainability

95% rebound after thousands of cycles. The most sustainable garment is the one you don't replace.
